Consultation

This is a friendly chat with your Personal Trainer which provides them with the opportunity to find out essential information about your health status, wants, needs and activity preferences. Your PT will also take account of any health or fitness related problems that do not necessitate medical referral, but just the adaptation of certain activities. Together you will discuss your attitudes and perceptions towards physical activity and why it is important for your health. What are the reasons in the past that have stopped you from participating in physical activity and are there any foreseeable barriers? Every individual will be different so it is important that you share with us any information that can help us to create a program that will meet your needs. An effective way to ensure success with this individually tailored program is to set agreed and achievable goals so that both you and your trainer can monitor your performance and improvement. Most importantly we will find out what motivates you. Motivation is a key to success and we will use it as a tool to target your goals. At the end of your consultation we shall have covered the following:

  • Medical and health information
  • Lifestyle and exercise history
  • You wants and needs, likes and dislikes
  • Ways to overcome any barriers and obstacles
  • What motivates you

Fitness Evaluation

This is a starting point for you to understand where you are now and where you want to be in the future. It is a tool to measure your improvements over the length of the program which includes vital signs, body composition and both cardio and muscular endurance. We will assess:

  • Resting Heart Rate
  • Resting blood pressure
  • Weight
  • Height
  • BMI
  • Percent of body fat
  • Waist to hip ratio
  • 1.5 mile run
  • Squat
  • One minute sit up test
  • One minute push up test
  • Tricep dips
  • Plank

Package One

A 4 week fat burning program that will target those extra pounds you have been wanting to lose for ages. The best way to achieve this will be through a cardiovascular workout and depending on what you like to do and what is available this can vary from getting back on that treadmill that has been collecting dust since you bought it 10 years ago or running through that trail you never knew was just behind your house. Your PT will create a program that will make you sweat and keep you coming back for more. We want to motivate you!

Package Two

An 8 week program tailored to your needs that you can enjoy in the comforts of your own home and outdoors. We can focus on your muscular endurance, muscular strength and/or cardio. After 4 weeks your PT will review the program with you and make the necessary changes based on your progress. We want to inspire you!

Package Three

A 12 week program that can focus on something specific or just work on building up your fitness level. Tell your PT what you want and we can mould the program to your specific needs. We want you to succeed in targeting your goals!

Package Four

You have finished one of the packages above and now you want to maintain the level of fitness you have reached or keep working on improving that level of fitness. This is a 4 week continuation of your previous program where your PT will work hard at keeping you motivated and interested by evolving the program as your body adapts.

Personal Training Session

A 60 minute training session where your PT will guide you through the exercises demonstrating safe and effective techniques. They will adapt to your needs and the environment at that moment. Modifications to the exercise will be made based on injury, discomfort or personal preference. Alternative exercises will be given to keep you interested and progression to keep it challenging. Your PT will explain the different muscles being worked and focus on body position including proper posture, movement and control.

Please note that full payment is required before the starting date of a program.
